Tructyre proudly promote road safety at every level. Their fleet of service vehicles are fitted with telematics that monitor driving style against best practise parameters. Every year six drivers; compromising the lowest score and the most improved, are invited to the annual Tructyre Drivers Championships organised by GWS Motorsport.
Held at Silverstone, the UK’s only Formula 1 track, the winners were given one-to-one race tuition by Jamie Stanley and Ben Clucas. The championship tested driving skills around the iconic track with gear change, brake points and racing lines in the Renault Megane RS, the Lotus Exige S V6 and the 5.2 litre TyreWatch branded Audi R8 LMS GT4. At the end of the day, Glenn Sherwood proudly awarded trophies to the winners of the challenges.
John Brand, Tructyre’s Group Operations Manager, stated: “This was another terrific event and rewards our drivers for better driving. Our service vans are brand-ambassadors, so we need them to present a responsible image to every road-user. But the Championship also has a serious role, as we work to manage insurance premiums and minimise claims.”
